After I finished Add Some Colour, I was really burnt out. I slept a lot and ate very little. I spent a lot of time in my basement, I took up running, I started baking, I stopped running, and I couldn't help but write songs almost non stop. Eventually it occurred to me that an album was forming out of some of these songs. Good Time For a Bad time is the result. There's not nearly as much perfectionism and production in this album, but that wasn't my focus.

My main focus here was to deliver some kind of purity. My main effort on this album was plain and simple – pure - songwriting. It's cliche to say that this is my favourite album I've released, but I have a lot of confidence in every single one of the songs on this album.

There's no bullshit on this album. This is an album with almost as many outtakes as tracks. It's fifty-five minutes and forty-eight seconds, and I've tried to spend every single moment communicating a feeling. And I'd be thrilled if you feel it too. (Plus the money is nice)
